About the Course

The swim takes place in one of Wellfleet's many kettle ponds. Water is always calm and one of the first to warm up in the season. The bike course consists of two 5-mile loops through one of the most beautiful areas you will ride all year. The run is an out-and-back course that turns right near the famed, Beachcomber Restaurant where athletes will catch ocean views before turning at the half way point (when we say it's all down hill from here, we mean it!).

Additional charges:

Non-USAT members will be required to purchase a one-day event insurance license from USA Triathlon. Costs: $13/sprint, $6 per relay team member. For more information about these USAT changes please click here.

 There will be no refunds by race company but you can purchase Refund Protect during registration.

About

The Wellfleet Sprint Triathlon began in 2011 as the Lower Cape Sprint Triathlon and was established to raise money for Cape Cod's only nonprofit community radio station, WOMR. Dubbed "a great race in a most beautiful place," Wellfleet is one of Cape Cod's most picturesque towns. In 2016 WOMR teamed up with local race company, New England Endurance Events to improve athlete's experience and safety. This triathlon has sold out within months of opening registration over the last several years. Part of the race course is located on a vista overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
